AirPods Pro 2 Software Update: What to Expect

Apple announced at WWDC23 that it will be releasing a software update for AirPods Pro 2 in the fall. This update will add several new features to the earbuds, including:

  • Adaptive Audio: This new listening mode dynamically blends Transparency mode and Active Noise Cancellation together based on the conditions of a user's environment to deliver the best experience at the moment. For example, if you're walking down a busy street, Adaptive Audio will automatically switch to Transparency mode so you can hear traffic and other sounds around you. If you then enter a quiet room, Adaptive Audio will switch to Active Noise Cancellation to block out distractions.
  • Personalized Volume: This feature will adjust the volume of your AirPods Pro 2 to match your hearing. This means that you'll always be able to hear your music at a comfortable level, no matter how loud or quiet your surroundings are.
  • Conversation Awareness: This new feature will allow you to hear people talking to you without taking your AirPods Pro 2 out of your ears. When you activate Conversation Awareness, your AirPods Pro 2 will automatically reduce the volume of your music and amplify ambient sound so you can hear what's being said.

In addition to these new features, the AirPods Pro 2 software update will also include several bug fixes and performance improvements.
